Promoting a Safe Environment in U.S. Athletics

U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper (D-Colo.), Chair of the Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety and Data Security, which oversees sports, will convene a subcommittee hearing titled “Promoting a Safe Environment in U.S. Athletics” on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 2:30 PM EDT. The hearing will explore the effectiveness of the U.S. Center for SafeSport in fulfilling its mission to protect athletes; examine challenges to timely investigations, case resolutions and transparency; and probe opportunities for improvement.
