Today, the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation approved nominations during an Executive Session for four Amtrak Board of Directors, a member of the Marine Mammal Commission, two Corporation for Public Broadcasting Board of Directors, and a Federal Maritime Commissioner, along with several Coast Guard promotions.

- Lanhee Chen to be a Director on Amtrak Board of Directors
- Dr. Lisa Ballance to be a Member on the Marine Mammal Commission
- Felix Sanchez to be a Member on the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting
- Adam White to be a Member on the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting
- Louis Sola to be a Commissioner on the Federal Maritime Commission
