WASHINGTON, D.C.— Chairman John D. (Jay) Rockefeller IV today announced the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Oceans, Atmosphere, Fisheries, and Coast Guard will hold a hearing on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. The hearing will examine third-party sustainability certification of U.S. seafood and its impact on the seafood options in grocery stores and restaurants. The hearing will also explore ways to make sure current and future sustainability certification efforts can benefit both the seafood industry and consumers.
