SCom: TransportationWASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation will hold a hearing on improving passenger and freight rail safety, and highlight recent high-profile rail accidents (Metro-North commuter train collision in Bridgeport, CT; freight train collision in Chaffee, MO). Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), the newly appointed chair of the Subcommittee on Competitiveness, Innovation, and Export Promotion, will chair this hearing.
