Commerce Announces Second FTC Oversight Hearing on September 27 - Postponed

WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), chairman of the Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, Insurance & Data Security, will convene a hearing on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. entitled, “Oversight of the Federal Trade Commission: Perspectives From Beyond the Commission.”*
 
Consistent with the Committee’s oversight responsibilities, the hearing will have a broad scope, covering all aspects of the Commission as well as major policy issues being considered that are related to regulatory reform, efforts to promote innovation, and consumer protection.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Full Committee will also hold an oversight hearing with the FTC commissioners.
