Washington, DC – Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chairman of the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, today challenged the CEOs of the country’s five largest cable companies to provide their customers with more choices over their programming, and therefore, more control over their cable bills. Senator McCain referred to an agreement between Cablevision Systems Corporation and the YES Network that allows customers to choose not to pay for programming that they do not want. The letter was sent to Mr. Brian Roberts, President, Comcast Corporation; Mr. Glenn Britt Chairman & CEO, Time Warner Cable; Mr. Carl Vogel, President & CEO, Charter Communications; Mr. James O. Robbins, President & CEO, Cox Communications; and Mr. Bill Schleyer, Chairman & CEO, Adelphia Communications.
