Measure includes Critical Commerce Committee Provisions on Spectrum, NASA, Coast Guard, FAA

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Senate passed the One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act, which included a number of significant provisions authored by Senate Commerce Committee Republicans. The committee’s title of the budget reconciliation bill reduces deficits by more than $43 billion over a decade and eliminates more than $1.1 billion in wasteful spending.

The Commerce Committee’s budget reconciliation text makes targeted investments to modernize the aging air traffic control system, rebuild the U.S. Coast Guard to secure our maritime border against deadly drugs and illegal immigration, ensure U.S. dominance in the new space race, and expand commercial access to spectrum. These provisions mark a major step forward in unleashing America’s full economic potential.

Upon passage of the One, Big, Beautiful Bill, Sen. Cruz said:

“Today, the Senate took an important step toward restoring fiscal sanity, turbocharging the American economy, and securing America’s global leadership in critical sectors. I am proud to have helped shape key parts of the One, Big, Beautiful Bill through the Senate Commerce Committee, delivering on promises made by President Trump and Congressional Republicans to restore American greatness.

“From fixing our antiquated air traffic control system and strengthening our nation’s Coast Guard, to returning American astronauts to the Moon and beating Communist China to Mars, the Commerce Committee’s provisions make strategic investments to put America first. We’ve also approved the largest commercial spectrum pipeline in history, paving the way for faster and cheaper Internet, billions in private sector investment, and massive job creation.

“The One, Big, Beautiful Bill is a victory for every hardworking American and sets up our future generations for success.”
