Cruz Investigation Reveals Biden DOT Pressured Airports to House Migrants
November 25, 2025
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Ted Cruz (R-Texas) released an investigative report revealing how the Biden Department of Transportation coordinated with local officials to move migrants through U.S. airports without identification, house them at airports and surrounding facilities, and divert resources away from air traffic safety to pursue an open border immigration policy.
The report contains new communications between the Biden administration and officials in New York, Boston, and Chicago, showing how the Biden White House directed the Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration to pressure at least 10 airports to house migrants, despite warnings of operational and security risks.
Discussing the report, Sen. Cruz said:
“This report exposes how the Biden Department of Transportation conspired with local leaders in New York, Boston, and Chicago to house migrants in airport facilities at taxpayer expense. Their decisions – to transport illegal aliens through airports without identity checks, even those with felonies — shows in new detail how Biden’s open border policy coopted government agencies to put American citizens at risk.”
