Developing the Aviation Workforce of the 21st Century

U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), Chair of the Subcommittee on Aviation Safety, Operations, and Innovation, will convene a field hearing titled “Developing the Aviation Workforce of the 21st Century” on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. MST. The field hearing will take place at the United Aviate Academy located at Phoenix Goodyear Airport in Goodyear, Arizona. This hearing will examine aviation workforce development issues as well as opportunities to diversify the U.S. aviation workforce as the aviation industry recovers from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Topics such as workforce education accessibility, recruitment and retention, training models, and the domestic pilot supply will be considered.
