WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Senate Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Science and Space has scheduled a hearing on the National Science Foundation (NSF) on May 2, 2006, at 2:30 p.m. in room 562 of the Dirksen Building. The hearing will focus on NSF’s Fiscal Year 2007 budget request, research priorities, current plans and activities, and its support for the American Competitiveness Initiative and related activities. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) will preside.
