Commerce Committee Advances Three Bills and Key Commerce and Transportation Nominees

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation approved three bills and important nominations within the Departments of Commerce and Transportation. The Committee also voted to promote twenty Coast Guardsmen. The approved legislation covers a wide sweep of the Committee’s jurisdiction, including fisheries, space exploration, and advanced manufacturing.

Nomination of Jonathan Morrison to be Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration

Nomination of Derek Barrs to be Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration

Nomination of Michael Rutherford to be Assistant Secretary of Transportation for Multimodal Freight Infrastructure and Policy
