Commerce to Explore Solutions to Next-Gen Broadband Deployment

WASHINGTON - U.S. Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, will convene a hearing titled “Investing in America’s Broadband Infrastructure: Exploring Ways to Reduce Barriers to Deployment” at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. This hearing will explore solutions to streamline broadband deployment and infrastructure especially in rural areas, and how to encourage private investment in next-generation telecommunications services.
