Subcommittee to Examine Progress of FirstNet Emergency Response Network

WASHINGTON - U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.), chairman of the Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, Innovation, and the Internet, will convene a hearing titled “An Update on FirstNet” at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017. The subcommittee will examine FirstNet and AT&T’s progress to date and the anticipated timeline to build, operate, and maintain an interoperable nationwide public safety broadband network as established by the Middle Class Tax Relief And Job Creation Act of 2012.
