Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) and Co-Chairman Inouye (D-Hawaii) have announced a hearing on Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at 10:00a.m., in room 253 of the Russell Building during which Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Michael Chertoff will testify concerning his proposed plan to modify the organizational structure and operations of the Department of Homeland Security as part of an effort to make the Department more efficient and effective.
